A New Path Forward for SHIB

Shiba Inu began as a meme token with a massive supply and early momentum that caught everyone off guard, but it was the holders who turned it into a movement beyond all expectations. In May 2021, Vitalik Buterin burned $6.7 billion worth of SHIB while donating 10% to charity, a moment that pushed Shiba Inu into the global spotlight. It’s also what caught my attention and inspired me to build the first project around SHIB.

The community’s energy was undeniable. As holders spread the token across forums, social platforms, and exchanges, $SHIB climbed into the top global rankings.

But there was another side to it, one people often try to brush aside.

As SHIB’s visibility grew, so did the attempts to exploit it. A mishandled blog opened the door for a small group to step in and mislead the community with their own “vision,” all to sell their own tokens.

New people entering crypto tend to get excited fast, and that excitement can make them vulnerable. We already understand what $SHIB is, but not everyone is experienced enough to read the blockchain or spot when someone is lying. And now, with AI-generated articles sounding extremely convincing, it’s even easier for beginners to get fooled.

To us, anything that came after SHIB’s deployment from these groups is just noise.

Over the years, their campaigns created intense FOMO, pressuring people to sell their SHIB in order to chase the group’s next scheme. So if you’re wondering why everything else reached new ATHs and SHIB didn’t… consider the people who spent years using SHIB’s name and the community’s trust to launch a stream of new tokens, and promote the ones they benefited from, including a fake Leash, based on the same token “Ryoshi” promoted before disappearing.

But despite all of it, the people who genuinely cared about SHIB stayed. They kept supporting, kept believing, and kept waiting for SHIB to rise again.

That’s why this site exists.

To counter misinformation and to give newcomers discovering SHIB a place where they aren’t misled within minutes. A place with facts the community can rely on as it builds its own legacy. This was never about trying to be “leaders.” Shib.wiki is here to provide something the SHIB community has lacked for years: a transparent, trustworthy source of information. A place where Shiba Inu’s story is told clearly, not used as a setup to pitch you another token.

This site is for the community. Anyone will be able to contribute. Community post submissions open this week, and soon the community will be able to post to the X account directly through the site.

Let’s not make this all about how much the site can “burn,” just because it can. The community has a massive misinformation problem, and I’m doing my best to fix at least part of it.

More features will be rolling out this week. But understand this is still in beta.

We’ve got some updates on the way.
